The Dunninghams Great New Zealand Sausage Competition is the premier event for New Zealand smallgoods producers. In search of the best sausage in the country.
And with good reason - the competition consistently receives hundreds of entries from all over the country, attracts significant media interest, and the public can’t get enough of the humble (and not so humble) snag. Plus, the competition now has a mince category which includes burger patties and meatballs!
Enter to have your sausages, burger patties and meatballs tasted and tested by NZ’s best culinary experts, and take advantage of the increased sales opportunities and industry recognition, that accompany success in the competition. The competition is open to all retailers who produce sausages, mince patties and meatballs available at retail level in New Zealand.
Entries for the 2025 competition will open on 24 June.
