Mentorship Programme
To succeed in anything we all need someone who inspires us
to do better than we know how.
Over the past few years we've noticed that during the competitions, contestants who have a mentor guiding them throughout the process seem to do a little better than those who don't. This inspired us to set up a Mentorship Programme alongside the Alto Young Butcher and ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year competitions, to give all of our contestants the best chance to succeed.
MENTORS NEEDED!
To ensure the success of this Mentorship Programme, we need people from our industry who are willing to give some of their time to help foster our industry's young talent, enabling them to do the best they can throughout the competition.
Our mentors will be required to provide guidance on how to prepare for the competitions, meat cut options, tips on competing, and some good old motivation.
It may not be possible to connect mentors with contestants face to face but with the help of technology, mentoring can easily be done via phone/video calls and photos.
The Mentorship Programme will be open from 15 June when entries for the competitions open
Regional Competitions will be taking place in August
The Grand Final will be taking place in late October
If you or anyone you know within our industry, has a passion for fostering young talent and may be interested in being a mentor or would like some more information please email michelle@rmnz.co.nz
